There are two railway companies operating on the island of Mallorca; requests for permission to film in stations and trains should be addressed to the railway company's Director, enclosing details concerning the production, the scenes to be filmed, the places it is wished to film, the number of people concerned, the technical equipment, the anticipated time the filming will take etc. Permits and charges are entirely at the discretion of the railway company management. It must be born in mind that because of the issue of image rights, filming for commercial purposes cannot take place on passenger trains. For that type of shoot, it would be necessary to hire a carriage and contract some extras.
